Elevator Autopilot Servo Mounting I will mount the servo brackets on the bottom skin of the airplane, on the right side, about 10" behind the elevator bellcrank. The pushrod will attach to the bottom half of the bellcrank, 2.5" from the pivot point. I will rivet the brackets to the bottom skin, and will probably use a reinforcing plate.
I fabricated doubler plates to go under the servo, and will dimple the bottom skin and countersink the doubler plates. |
